Spigarelli Ceramiche is located in the region of Umbria, the heart of Italy as well as the center of the peninsula, distinguished by the green landscapes, millenary traditions, art and crafts.
To be more specific, Spigarelli Ceramiche headquarters is located in Gualdo Tadino, a small medieval town, born on the slopes of the umbrian Mountains, rich in tradition and history of ceramics as well as close to wonderful places like Perugia, capital of culture, art and music, close to Assisi, the land of St. Francis.
All Spigarelli brand products are developed and created entirely in Italy. Ceramic products have different characteristics from other products with vitrification, therefore they cannot be compared to other productions.
Our products are all made from strong white earthenware, fired at 1040 degrees. They are glazed by hand. The glaze is food safe and they are then fired again at 950 degrees.
We apply our exclusive designs that we created by hand with precision, piece by piece. The ceramics are then returned to the oven and fired again at 750 degrees. The entire production process requires three firings in the oven at high temperatures for each piece. Our products are dishwasher safe at low temperature; they must be thoroughly dry prior to putting them in cabinets.
Ceramics produced in this manner present vivid and bright colors that no other material can match, but they require care and attention.
Still today each piece of Spigarelli Ceramiche is guaranteed to be created by the expert hands of craftsmen as it was done before, with the exception of partial use of modern techniques for some decorations.
